I learned a long time ago that if every day was a cheat day then I am not really on a diet. Compromise has a way of lying to us about the ramifications of our decisions. Celebrating with a cheat meal is ok but finding reasons to celebrate with a cheat meal too often isn’t. I want to be clear that it is always good to find something to celebrate if you are looking for the win. However, if you are looking for a reason to party and throw your discipline out the window, that turns a victory into an eventual defeat because the goals will not be met. Celebrate true wins with wonderful cheat meals but don’t imagine wins to justify another cookie.
