While Your Enemies Sleep

Something that my daughter is learning in her first week at the gym is the great feeling you get when you finish a workout before the sun rises. We joked about how good it feels to get better while our enemies are sleeping. It’s not that serious because we don’t have too many human enemies but the general feeling is that we like feeling like we just got a head start on the day. At an hour when others are groggy and sipping their first cup of coffee, we are very awake and walking into breakfast with a major calorie deficit. The rest of the day is ahead and we don’t have to worry about getting a workout in. I do realize that it makes sense to workout late for some lifestyles and situations and we are not disparaging late workouts, but we do like the feeling that an afternoon workout is now a bonus workout.
