Seeing the Need
Some people are satisfied with where they are at and accept the ramifications of that. Others see something available to them as long as they make a change to their current mindset and practices. Still others mix the previous two by wanting something that requires change without being willing to change. Again, I am a proud dad to watch my daughter take advantage of the opportunity to go to the gym. When she first asked for a gym membership, I did not get her one right away. I wanted to see how bad she wanted it. When I procrastinated, I liked that she continued to bug me to get the gym pass. She also started doing sit-ups in her bedroom since I hadn’t purchased her membership. Her commitment showed me that she is someone who sees a need to change AND is willing to do what it takes to make that change.
