Willing Smarter not Harder

Michael Jordan is quoted as saying, “It’s not how hard you pushed along the way. It’s about having something in you to finish.” Having a strong will isn’t about working yourself to exhaustion. It’s about having the willpower to make the best decisions at every opportunity. It’s about resting well so that you can be at your best. It’s about staying focused so that you can get things done when they should be done. It’s about choosing to stick with something even though it’s more difficult than expected. People often only see the winning shot fall but what they didn’t see was the painful chain of great choices that put the winner in the position to make the winning shot.
