Focused Side Effects

Something odd happens when you don’t have a constant pull toward time-wasting activities like scrolling through an endless social media feed. Things that usually take all day can be done in an hour because I no longer wonder what else I am missing out on. I don’t feel the need to check in on the digital circle of posts, pictures, and memes. My emotions are focused because I am not triggered to miss someone, envy someone, or dive down a trivial rabbit trail. What I am describing is a freedom to be better. Imagine having to call someone everytime you stood in line or everytime you had a free minute.
