Shot or eaten?
At the risk of being considered a prude, I would like to challenge those who defend the right to cuss to consider why they should ever allow themselves to be that emotional in a critical moment. The words we choose say a lot about our values, but perhaps they say more about our self-discipline. It seems like “no-no” words are becoming more acceptable in more settings. Is this a sign that we are becoming less of a disciplined culture? Are we angrier? Is there an appropriate time to drop an “f-bomb”? Perhaps…but I think it should be limited to being shot or eaten alive. Everything else just demonstrates a childish lack of discipline and vocabulary.
