As leaders we must find those that want to move and move with them. Every leader will have to deal with naysayers at every turn. Naysayers are not bad people. They are simply those that care enough about the team to express a different opinion or even concern about the direction or vision. The truth is that we are all naysayers in some way. No one agrees with the direction 100% of the time. Since this is true, leaders should empathize with those that seem to struggle to see things our way. Invite them to come along and if they choose to belong despite their dissent, we should celebrate that. If they don’t, then simply wish them well without any judgement.
