Just Do Your Best
Great teammates have a reputation of being trustworthy. That’s what makes them great. They get the ball when the stakes are high because they are trusted. That trust comes at a price. As time goes on, the pressure to maintain that trust can seem to grow beyond what is fair or just. The key to staying trustworthy is not to resent the pressure or extra expectation but to simply do the best I can without allowing the pressure of increased expectations get to me. Doing our best is what likely earned us the trustworthy reputation in the first place. It’s likely the best tactic to keep it.
