Have An Agenda
Having an agenda can be seen as manipulative or selfish but that isn’t always the case. Having an agenda and communicating that agenda can help make meetings more meaningful. Sending an agenda for a meeting allows the meeting to be as efficient as possible. When the topics of desired conversation are shared beforehand, it allows the other people in the conversation to prepare a response. This makes the meeting more efficient because people come with prepared responses that are less emotionally charged than a reaction to something they are hearing for the first time.
