Being Led

As important as strong leadership is, I believe that strong followship is just as important. Am I humble enough to maintain unity? Do I know when to voice disagreement? Do I allow others to lead me? This is tougher than most people are willing to admit. It’s easy to let a leader take the responsibility that every leader should. It’s more difficult to implement an idea that didn’t come from me as if it did. Not everyone can do that. I have found that the best teams can. The rest struggle with pride, power, and petty convictions that hold the team back from being effective. This is all because some people do not know how to be led.
