Sleeping in only feels good when I’m ahead on my task list. This is because I don’t like to work so that I can rest. That outlook is unsatisfying. It makes the clock move slower during the day. I prefer to rest so that I can work. Rest is important, but its more like a timeout of a game I enjoy. I catch my breath and recharge. Living for my days off only motivates me to do the bare minimum. Leveraging the breaks I take to make myself better during my work helps me to enjoy a larger portion of the time I spend conscious and aware.
