Embrace Uncertainty

Anxiety is fueled by the unknown. It’s why we are afraid of the dark. We can’t see well enough to truly assess the danger where the light isn’t shining. All of us know that 99 times out of 100 there is nothing to be afraid of once the lights get turned on. Our imagination likes to fill in the blanks with scary stuff when it gets the opportunity. The key to managing anxiety is to embrace uncertainty. Expect it and learn to work with it and understand that the balance of probability says there is nothing to be afraid of. When we do, we can walk into the dark places of our world with the same confidence that we would if the lights were on.F
