Prep Time and Brain Work

The best way to respect a person’s time is to make sure that any meeting they are called too accomplishes it’s stated purpose. Identifying the purpose of the meeting beforehand allows everyone to prepare accordingly. Most of the brain work can take place outside of the meeting and can then be applied to collaboration within the meeting. Most meetings drag on because people show up unprepared. They waste time coming up with ideas in the meeting instead of discussing and adding to ideas that were brought in from the meeting prep time.
