Shared Responsibility

Every team has different positions that work together to achieve a common goal. Each position should have a clear job description. A clear job description includes what a teammate is responsible for. There are usually two types of responsibility. The first is important because it clearly communicates what the teammate is expected to accomplish on their own. If they don’t accomplish these things, they hold back the team. The second type of responsibility is shared responsibility. Shared responsibility clearly outlines who and how a teammate will collaborate with in order to accomplish a goal. Clarity in job descriptions places everyone on the team in the best situation to succeed and that success contributes to the success of the team.
