The Mental Discipline of Trust

With a lack of information, we are not usually a glass is half full type of species. Once we trust someone, we require a mental discipline to continue to trust them. This mental disciple becomes more difficult when a person makes a mistake. It might seem wise to revoke that trust at the first mistake, but it isn’t. People are not defined by their worst moment and mistakes could result in a learning that would allow them to be more trustworthy. We shouldn’t trust everyone, but we do need to be mentally disciplined to trust those that we should trust…at least for our own peace of mind.
