Solve or Blame

Finding blame is not the same as finding a solution. When we embark on a quest to find the object to blame, we rarely look at ourselves. The solution to many circumstances can usually be found in many places. Blame tends to oversimplify the causes to an unpleasant circumstance in a single location. That location is almost always as far from ourselves as possible. Problems can be much more complex and blaming someone or something usually makes us feel better about finding a cause, but it rarely allows us to properly deal with what really happened. Especially if we are at least partially to blame.
