That’s not my baby…

The organization itself isn’t a living breathing thing to emotionally connect with. Still, we often do because not only do we name it, but often we identify ourselves with it. Emotionally connecting with our organizations and systems can cause us to abandon sound decision-making because we begin to treat it like our baby. It’s not. So don’t treat it that way. The organization should serve the people and the vision designed to better them. Not the other way around.
