Time Always Tells

We all run up against bumpy spots. We all have tough seasons of life. Great teams stick with teammates through these bumpy spots in life because they understand that the benefit of being on a team is the development of each other. Great teams believe that people can change and that time always tells. Ordinary teams don’t take the time to develop people. They are too quick to fire because it’s easier to recruit a talented replacement than to invest in the development of a person. The problem with this is that a talented recruit requires development as well and, when the “newness” wears off, they will be discarded and replaced just like the previous teammate. Great teams stick with people because there is long term strengthening that comes with an attitude of development that the “use and discard” attitude always misses out on.
