Making New Mistakes

Teams always have a choice when mistakes are made. They can either abide the mistakes or improve. The difference can be found in looking closely at the mistakes that occur. If a team continues to make the same old mistakes, then they have built a system that abides the mistake. The mistakes are never really solved but rather worked around. This can cost an ever increasing amount of energy for even the simplest tasks. Improvement is evident when the team is making new mistakes because the old ones are solved. Mistakes are inevitable and great teams make them every day. Let’s just work hard to make new ones.

  1. I guess that the difference between think “We are perfect ” and mistakes are a setback, or “we are improving” and mistakes are a way to further improve by not making the same mistake again.  Dick Hamilton
