The Trusted Few
Why is someone on the team? Is it because of their contribution or because of their relationships? The answer is both, but when someone’s competence or commitment holds the team back, a choice has to be made. This is evident when the responsibilities that were given to each member of the team have found their way to only a few “trusted” or “reliable” people. Great teams hold each teammate accountable to their actual contribution so that the bulk of the work doesn’t fall on just a few people.
