Misunderstanding Leadership

Leaders are often tasked to make the hard decisions on a team. Decisions that affect people. There are many assumptions made by non-leaders about leaders. This is natural. Non-leaders must try to make sense of the world with experience and they are limited to their own perspective. It makes sense for them to form assumptions because if they truly understood why and how leaders made decisions, then they would be leaders themselves. Understanding can be gained and leadership can be learned but not without understanding the whys and how’s of decision making with strong leadership. It’s this misunderstanding that confuses people when decisions are made. It’s unfair to expect someone with limited leadership experience to understand leadership.
