Compromise and Expectations

Life happens and therefore compromises are made and plans change. This happens as unknowns become known and the information that informed the original plans changes. Great teams understand that this is what creates the need for flexibility. When a team successfully adjusts a plan and makes compromises, they must remember to also adjust expectations linked to that original plan. Compromises may be necessary from time to time based on circumstances, but it is unreasonable to continue with the original expectations after a compromise.
