Contributor or Victim?
I have a choice every day to be a contributor on a team. Contributors take responsibility for the tasks that their team members depend on them for. They expect to be held accountable by their teammates and own their mistakes. When I make excuses, I am choosing to be the opposite of a contributor. I am choosing to be a victim. The contributing teammate sees challenges and communicates their needs to the team as they arise. Victims tend to allow the challenges to become interfering thoughts on why their responsibilities are impossible to achieve. Both meet the same challenges but each choose a different response.
