Managing Disappointment

Great teams understand that trouble always finds its way around. It’s why they plan and work so hard. Every plan has to have room for contingencies for the unexpected. If we expect the unexpected, then we are less likely to be disappointed when we don’t get our way. Disappointment is inevitable so great teams plan for it and respond by managing the emotions that come along with it. Ordinary teams expect their plans to come to pass and let their disappointment get the best of them when plans change.
