Risk Averse

I am a risk averse person, but I am also a change agent. It’s my role on a team. Though those two attributes may seem like they don’t go together, hesitation is often a riskier move than change. To do nothing is not a zero-cost choice. It is often thought of as the safe choice, but in the end, it could be the most dangerous decision a team makes. When I coached and played football, I always wanted teammates who wouldn’t hesitate. Hesitation is the leading cause of mistake and injury in football. I have also seen that principle generalize to the rest of my life.
