I am a great teammate when I refuse to compromise the team’s values. Goodness is simply that which promotes the health and well-being of others. Great teammates do the right thing for the right reason every time. Goodness isn’t what they do, it’s who they are. Goodness is resisting compromise and peer pressure to violate values “just this once”. That takes courage.

I am proud of my daughter. She is known by the staff at her school to do the right thing when no one is looking. She is actually ridiculed as being a “GG” or “good girl” since her classmates have learned that she won’t compromise for popularity’s sake. She says that they laugh at her because she is different but she says she laughs at them because they are all the same. Someone who stands out for goodness sake is courageous and also someone I will always want on my team.
