I am a great teammate when I approach a teammate with understanding rather than irritation. Patience is a difficult thing to develop in our fast-paced culture. I have discovered two keys to developing patience for my teammates. The first is to remind myself how often my teammates are patient with me. That humility can slow me down in moments when my patience is tested. The second is to remember that I may not have all the information to justify my irritation. It’s when I am humble enough to remember that I test the patience of others and I may not know the whole story that I can be a patient teammate.
