Overtraining is a term that describes someone who has exercised too much. When we over train we don’t allow our bodies to recover and our work sees diminishing returns. Our effort begins to work against us and we become susceptible to illness and fatigue. Teams can overtrain as well. There is such a thing as working too hard. When we consistently work through meals, we are not working hard but overworking. When we are consistently late because we are overestimating how much we can accomplish within a given period of time, we are overworking. Pushing the envelope is good, but we must accept our limits and know when to work and when to enjoy the results of our work.
