Deceptive Peace

Great teams work hard to embrace tension instead of fighting to keep the peace. They don’t make the mistake of equating peace or a lack of conflict with unity. In reality, true unity is found when conflict is confronted and resolved. No news on a team is not always good news. Leaders who hear no push back either have a team of “yes men” or they have trained the team to passively disagree. This weakens the team over time. Passionate teams will not thrive in this environment because in their passion, they will find the conviction to conflict. That conflict makes the team stronger.
