Blind to Cost

When it comes to investing in relationships, we must accept our limits. Most people fail to cultivate their relationships because it takes more time and effort than we are willing to spend on them. We all have the same amount of time in a day, but how we spend it says a lot about our priorities. Since we only do what we care about, the time we spend with people or for people says a lot about the way we value the relationships in our life. Do those closest to me feel like a priority or do they get crowded out by the needs of others because they will understand? Is most my day spent accomplishing my personal agenda or my various team goals? Saying yes to everything has a cost and it’s usually time with and for those we say we care about most.
