Panic Induced Innovation

Teams that quit the game plan at the first sign of trouble are often winging it in a panic from that time forward. Panic and innovation rarely bear the fruit we are looking for. The team would have been better served by sticking to their game plan with some adjustment. This gets perpetuated when the abandoned game plan is blamed for the failure. The “bad plan” never gets developed even though the panicked response to adversity likely caused the failure.
