Worth the Risk

Many people are afraid to have their idea labeled as “bad”. Even great ideas that were applauded in a planning meeting can be labeled as bad in hindsight. The contrary is also true as many ideas that seemed risky proved to be well worth the risk. No idea is safe from circumstances that could make it a bad one. Teams that succeed understand that the bad ideas are worth the risk because the worst case scenario is the team gains experience from a bad idea playing out. Learning is valuable enough for the risk alone in most cases. Many bad ideas are the prototype of the best ideas we have ever had.
