Intentionally Inclusive

The size of a team determines how intentional a team needs to be to include the right people at the right stage of the planning process. Small teams have an easier time at this because everyone wears so many hats. As a team grows, each member becomes specialized. The leaders must remember to include the right people in the right stage of planning. Creative people should be free to dream without someone shooting their idea down in the name of practicality. Practical thinkers should have an opportunity to take a well thought-out dream and think of all the details necessary to make it a reality. When everyone is involved at the right moment there is unity, joy and learning. When people are excluded or included too late, there is a high chance for resentment, confusion and a lack of execution.
