Planning Stages

Great teams plan in stages. They understand what it takes to have an exciting initial idea. They also understand that creativity can be measured by the way an initial idea sparks new ideas which can take the initial concept to places that were never thought of. Great teams know that great ideas and concepts do not turn into plans without both creative AND practical minds. This is why so many “blue sky” sessions often deliver nothing that is actually executed. “What ifs” must be converted into action plans. I am a firm believer that a practical mind can accomplish anything when combined with the creativity of others. Someone must aim the gun and others must pull the trigger. The result is a shot that hits the mark perfectly. If it doesn’t, the team should go right back to the drawing board. It’s a team effort.
