Improvement isn’t always cleaning up a mess. Great leadership improves a team by acknowledging the gifts and talents of their teammates and empowering them to do more with what they have already accomplished. A leader can acknowledge a gift in an individual and challenge that individual to utilize it in new settings. A leader can also acknowledge gifting and success by granting additional or greater responsibility. This stretches the teammate to take those existing abilities to a greater level for the benefit of all.
