False Humility

People fear pride for various reasons. Pride should be feared but not at the expense of our security and integrity. The inability to receive a compliment is a sign of insecurity. If we did a good job and the team acknowledges it, we should too. We should also acknowledge the success of others or the effort of others that led to our own highlighted successes. If we deflect praise, we are likely insecure enough to deflect criticism as well. False humility hurts a team because it devalues our own place on it.
