Which Came First…Friendship or Success?

Was the team successful because the teammates worked well together? Or did that dynamic develop because of the success enjoyed by the team? Coaches on a successful professional team are very intentional about the “chemistry” of a team. Teams that lack chemistry are not as successful as teams that work well together. As obvious as that statement seems, why are there so few truly successful teams? Could it be that team chemistry takes work? Work that doesn’t seem as important as it should be? This work can be small things like demonstrating a little curiosity about our teammates beyond what they can do for us.
