Being Of Same Mind

Great teams must share a common mindset in order to be effective. Goals can motivate, but “how” a team works together is just as important as “why”. The best teams develop a dynamic that allows each teammate the ability to anticipate each other. This increases their ability to function in concert with each other without distraction or constant clarification. This unity of mind requires two ingredients:

1) Time…nothing can replace time together as a team which allows
each person to know and be known. Great teams develop over time.

2) Intentionality…unity in our universe cannot be left to chance. Everything tends towards disorder, average or equilibrium without intentional work. Call it the second law of thermodynamics or the curse of Adam but we all know that anything worth having is worth working intentionally towards.

A shared mindset is never quick or by accident.
