Teammates should grow closer as they handle adversity. We all get to see each other at our best and worst moments. Great teammates never label others on the team based on their worst moments. They use the phrase, “That’s not like you” and they believe it.
It’s the poisonous attitude of a team member that takes advantage of another’s vulnerable moment to label them in a negative way. Labels are sticky and should be avoided because people can change. Great teammates are kind enough to acknowledge not just the positives of others but also the progress of a change in their weak points.
