When teammates do not take the time to get to know each other, we fill in the blanks with our own experience and motives. People most often see through the lenses of their own personal experience.
It’s a natural default to attempt to explain the mystery of a situation with something familiar. When I project my motivations and perspective, I replace true understanding with an explanation that makes a lot of sense to me but may be completely inaccurate.
