Embrace Uncertainty…

One of the best ways to create a safe place for people to be themselves is to create an environment that embraces uncertainty. Change can be considered a threat to the team and threats are often avoided and eliminated. If someone senses that being themselves may rock the boat, they will hold back. When this happens, the team misses out in the full personality of their teammate. As individuals, we must embrace uncertainty to risk being ourselves in front of the team. It’s a beautiful moment to realize that who we are is accepted by the team and that we have a home without pretense.
