Donuts for Dinner
Have you ever eaten a donut for dinner? The box was likely left over from the morning and it was easier to eat the donut than make a real entree. The choice felt good at the time of consumption, but where was the actual nutritional value afterwards? Sometimes we have to get over the fact that it’s far easier to do the things that we like than it is to do the things that make us better. It’s so easy that we justify our less-than-optimal-choices with platitudes that make us feel better about not making the best decision. Doing something feels better than doing nothing, but it’s still not as good as doing what I know I should do instead.
