What More Means

There is a myth that all teams want to improve. It’s not true. Only great teams strive to improve. Ordinary teams fight for comfort and less work. They guard their workload so that life is easy. They are content with good enough. They like being on a team and even work hard not to fail, but the effort and risk involved in excelling is not worth the reward for them. They have never really wanted it bad enough to kick out of their cycle of mediocrity. To want more means having the nerve to go out and take it. Great teams do that while everyone else sits in meetings talking about it or giving excuses as to why it’s not really possible.
