30 minute wait…

The glass-is-half-empty doubter seems to always look for the better investment. It reminds me of trying to find a restaurant to eat at after church on Sunday. Inevitably, someone in our party would say that a 30 minute wait is too long to wait for and we would go to another restaurant only to find out that it was also a 30 minute wait. I began to realize that we could have been eating already if we would have just stayed at the original restaurant. How often do we look at the challenges of our team in the same way? We quit too early to find the low-effort, high-impact endeavor only to find out that the path is hard everywhere and we wasted precious time looking for the easy way out.
