The Diminishing Demonized Disagreement
Demonizing everything allows the real demons to hide in plain sight. If everything that disagrees with me is not just different but morally wrong, we end up seeing the world with a jaded perspective. Even if I don’t speak up about how wrong everything is, I have a skewed perspective on what is actually a threat to the team. When I can’t properly discern between a difference in preference and a moral situation, my contribution to team discussions loses credibility. Soon my myopic view clouds my judgement and hinders my ability to call out real dangers.
