Once someone is inspired to “commit to” the team, they need to be developed to fulfill vision themselves. Development must always follow commitment to a vision. Development of new recruits must be ongoing, but initial training is important to get them off to the great start everyone is hoping for. Skills that can be learned go a long way in helping someone find their fit on a team. Preferred methods and protocols require training so that a new teammate can choose to belong rather than be left to “figure it out” on their own. It is a team after all and a new teammate needs to be included through proper training.
