Winning Isn’t Everything

That is the sentiment of teams that consistently do not end up on the winning side. There is truth to it. Winning isn’t everything. Winning is the by-product of great preparation and great effort. Moral victories are great but they are only useful if they are learned from and not allowed to replace actual victories. Goals are set to be accomplished. No one wants to be on a team that isn’t playing to win. Accomplishment and victory is the difference between a team and a social club. Every team must set its vision and define its win. When a team settles for less, they shouldn’t be surprised to lose those that came to play to win.
