Communicating Values

The confident team communicates values without apology. They know who they are. They are comfortable with how who they are affects others. Insecure teams lack the confidence to communicate their values because they are not comfortable with who they are and how that identity might affect other people. This causes a mitigating attitude when communicating values. It doesn’t take much to get an insecure team to compromise on stated values because they really aren’t sure about them either. They like how the words sound but are uncomfortable with the reality the words describe. Great teams have a healthy level of confidence that allows them to stay steady in both communication and implementation of their values.
