Impatience

What do I do when a teammate seems to have a pattern of impatience? A pattern of impatience demonstrates a lack of common expectations. If the expectations are not reasonable or reasonably communicated, then impatience is merely a result of poor communication. Clear expectations, as well as a commitment to participate in the communication systems that communicate expectations are the antidote to impatience and disappointment. Leaving these things to chance may seem easier or more laid back when everything is going well. But the “laid back” approach leads the team on a path to impatience and disappointment. There is nothing laid back about the receiving end of impatience.
