Passionate Example

A passionate person doesn’t just do their job as a job. When passion infects our job, the mundane tasks happen the same as breathing. They are not dreaded, complained about or procrastinated. They just happen as part of the day. One of my teammates over the years stands out as passionate. While no one expected her to, she submitted her weekly report from the hospital bed after each of her children were born. When asked why she would do such a thing she always replied, “It needed to be done and I was just sitting there.” She is a passionate mother to her kids but she also cares about her team and those who depend on her. The task wasn’t motivated by anxiety, but something she just does…like breathing.
